Family of Alberta pilot missing in BC says no expense too great to … - The Canadian Press- British Columbia

Boychuk is capable of surviving in the wilderness thanks to experience hunting and his work with the conservation group Ducks Unlimited, said his son Chris Boychuk. A helicopter has now been rented to get to areas where they can search for their father on foot, Boychuk said. Sunday's search was conducted by two Buffalo aircraft, a Cormorant helicopter, four Griffon helicopters, one Dash-8 airliner and a Twin Otter aircraft. In addition, 12 aircrafts and 26 spotters from the Civil Aviation Search and Rescue Association - or CASARA - helped with the search. The next step is to move to a lower altitude in the hopes of spotting the plane - a beige Cessna 172 with red trim - beneath the trees. read more
