However, Mother Nature could throw some bad weather our way making for high surf on the coast and swollen rivers for steelhead fishing. Other spots worth trying are Elger Bay, Allen Bank off Blake Island, Southworth, Camano Head, Langley to Clinton, Onamac Point and the Tacoma area. Fishing in Elliott Bay remains slow to fair, and the weekly Sunday Tengu Derby produced six chinook for 34 anglers. Also jig for squid in Elliott Bay off Pier 62 and the Seattle Aquarium, and the Dash Point, Point Defiance, Vashon and Bremerton piers. Colder weather has slowed trout fishing, but diehards can try Beaver Lake near Issaquah, Stevens Lake, Lone Lake on Whidbey Island and Pass Lake near Deception Pass. read more
